No one likes any of these things, but we have to deal with them.

I'd ask you what the worst barnsley 11 was you ever watched?

I'd rather have Oddjob or Onabuji than that tosspot Deon Burton.

Without picking players from different seasons, I'd say the weakest reds side I've ever seen was back in the 80s.

We lost 4 3 at home to Palace on the first day and went on to lose the next 6 (?)

Lots of youngsters in that team including the magnificent Mick Clarke on the wing.

I couldn't put a team together but special mention for Tony Warner in goal who couldn't catch the clap in a Thai brothel.

Mounir El Haimour who was 3 stone wet through before fasting for Ramadan.

Liam Dickinson who I despised because he looked a *****, probably acted a ***** and played like a *****.

Brek Shea. Weird bloke, awful player, dodgy haircut.

Jacob Mellis. Massive waste of potential.

You could have Mounir El Haimour on the wing. Played full back primarily but I saw him play there once.

    Or Rohan Ricketts.

Used to see Mick Clarke every morning when I lived at Brierley. He was in digs at Clifton Gardens. Nice bloke.

Played his part in that 86/87 turnaround, just lost his way following season. Was he in the side that early in the season? I know Carl Bradshaw scored the fastest goal of the season and did lose the first six.

Yeah he played in that first game. He used to come in the social club and hang around with us football lads.

Didn't he dig with Mick Barkers dad?

He might have done mate, yes. Was it Derek Barker?. He stayed with a guy called Bill Francis at Clifton Gardens, "Barnsley Bill" as Dave our Huddersfield supporting newsagent called him.

Whatever happened to Mick Barker. Haven't seen him for 20 years.

The names Regan, Crookes, Brown (Keith), Flynn, Gibbs still give me nightmares now. Further back, Chris Hedworth, Paul Malcolm, Willie Ferry.

Think I can remember Bill. Mick doesn't go anymore I'm told, which surprised me because he never used to miss back in the days of the old social club and supporters team.

We had some fantastic times going all over. Setting off at silly hours to be at far flung places like Southend for a 10.30 kick off.

Speaking of Southend, we once got there for our game to be told the local pitches were waterlogged, so we were forced to go in a pub for 5 hours!

I was trying to think if Dominik Werling had ever played LW but I think he was strictly LB. I think Manure El Haimour played on the right but I could be wrong.

Left wing according to Wikipedia. Although it does say he was a footballer too so I don't think it's accurate.

Since whoever I have as an avatar shortly leaves the club I have decided to help OP out.
