Shocked that Barnsley never made the list.

Seriously, Barnsley not on that list ?

I've had altercations in 11 of those places. None of which were my fault...

We (Barnsley) are not on that list and I would be surprised if we were.
I've been going into town for decades - and taking away the football matches, in all that time, I've seen hardly any trouble - maybe less than 5 fights - and 3 of them I was in.

BUT........talk to people that are not from TARN and they are usually frightened to death of going for a drink there.
In all my years spent in boozers there aint a better crowd and more friendly people than those in Barnsley.

Then again - I spent a lot of my early drinking years in Thurnscoe and Goldthorpe..........so that's a different story
I've seen hundreds of fights there........including Billy Whitehirst on occasions throwing his arms about

It would appear it's a Northern thing

To echo a point in an earlier thread .... in 80's there was always trouble at chucking out time.

Maybe Barnsley didn't make the list cos we're too hard to bother going to hospital

Even though I didn't see trouble during that era.......even in Bimbos on Mad Friday which was always full of 100s of really drunk guys........if you did see all that trouble......this brings up the question - why arnt young lads today fighting like they used to.

Is it because of our education system trying to 'girlify' the boys of today.........you only have to watch television programs like Big Brother to realise that something's happening..........it seems that if young guys are not prepared to mince about then they are open to abuse

I am sure Wellington street was rated one of the most dangerous streets in the uk a couple of years ago

I think they missed out Glasgow on that list! You see some amazing scenes every Thursday/Friday/Saturday night on Sauchiehall Street.

One of my mates had his cheekbone broken with what only can be described as the most impressive headbutt ever witnessed, the guy leapt like a salmon to inflict said damage.

I'm horrified that people actually think like this.

I've managed to live for three decades without having a fight with anyone, and personally I think that's a good thing. I can't get my head around anyone who identifies masculinity with physical violence - you don't need to be 'girlified' to act like a mature and civilised human being.

Not surprised to see Wakefield on that list.
Its like Armageddon on a weekend !
Top of Westgate is bleeding crazy, always cop cars and ambulances there Friday and Saturday night. Mostly involving girls/women. Strangley though the main culprits are never the immigrants, but the bloody locals !! Yet it is always the immigrants that get the blame in the Wakey express for anything that happens here.
