I've arrived late on this one. Has the DM produced any evidence that he hated this country. Even if it has (which I doubt) I don't think it justifies an attack on a dead man to get at his son. People more eloquent than me will no doubt examine Gove's credentials for his intervention( doesn't he work for the DM) I read in the past that the DM supported the Blackshirts in the thirties. What does that say about them.

"Mr Gove, who was a journalist before entering politics, said the Mail should not apologise for the original story since it was newspapers' job to hold politicians to account and, on occasion, to "upset" them."

I have to ask, how an attack on someone's father is holding a politician to account?

I do not have the same views or political beliefs as my father.

I don't not expect to be held account for any wrong doing of my father.

This is an absurd point of view and one that I fully expect an odious twerp like Gove to stand by, it is just the sort of thing he believes in.

What more can one say? Except that we should send Gove for chrushing and not the current Lord Rothermere back into the country ever again.

You could smack him all day long...

and never get tired. When your bloodied fists can no longer function you would wear your shoes out on him.
An odious, horrible man with an eye on the top post.
God help us if he's ever in charge of the country, meddle, meddle, meddle.

The guy who wrote the book that the mail used as its source for the story, claims they've badly misrepresented what he wrote.
