Recently I have been losing my "audio device" on my XP computer. In other words I cannot hear audio from music files, film files or owt like that. When I check my "sounds" in Control Panel it says "no audio device", but I then do a system restore back to, say, yesterday when it was working ok and it starts to work again. It seems to happen when I switch off the pc, it loses its audio. Apart from leaving the pc switched on all the time have you heard of this before, or can you suggest how I can fix it.
