Would people settle for another season in league One but having won JPT or would people have rather us gone up say in second place but never have played or won at Wembley? Personally, for the emotion, one off joy of the day I'd take the JPT win. However, seeing the bigger picture and the fact we could loose several players in the summer to the Championship, I think promotion would be better for the club Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rather have won yesterday than last sunday. Rather we got promoted and never saw that low league Micky Mouse cup ever again.
You have to be joking right? The Championship is where its at, next year especially is going to provide loads of great atmosphere with the sides that are coming down. Winning the JPT was nice but trade a one off day for a season of good days not even a doubt.
Would rather we got promoted & won the JPT. Out of the two would have preferred us to get promoted though.
The league is far more important so I'd choose it every time in a heartbeat but we can still have both and go up through the playoffs.
If we are in the championship next season we will have some fantastic home games to look forward to. Plenty of clubs could sell out the away end and depending on time of season and league position ask for some of the west stand such as Wednesday, Villa, Newcastle, Sunderland, Derby etc.
Balls to that. When I'm in my 70s I'm not going to be saying 'do you remember that dull game against chesterfield in front of ten thousand where we scraped 3 points'. I will be remembering seeing us lift a trophy in front of 60,000 people though
The Wembley experience, every time. One day we'll go up again, one day we'll get relegated again. Repeat ad infinitum. Days like last Sunday may realistically never happen again.
It was 4 in 2 beds if you must know, 'twas a great weekend until I discovered some ralmpssibilityvwuth in the shower. I think it was left over from the previous guest.
You said entire wasn`t sure if that was a description of you or the weekend. Hope you put the find darn int visitors book and only paid em 93% of what they were asking price wise.
Wembley experience every time. First twenty seasons supporting the Reds were spent in Third and Fourth Divisions. Never even dreamed of second tier. Seen hundreds of games at this level. Trophy win - lifetime experience. Never seen before (by any of us, not just me) and in all probability never be seen again. Thats what memories are made of.
Football's all about glory for me. Nothing gets close to winning at Wembley. I'd love promotion but at the same time seeing 8 or 9 or whatever it was years of scrapping for our lives weren't exactly great & I find it hard to see what would be different if we did get back up. Apart from the great escape under Flitcroft how many seasons of us in the championship last time can you say you actually enjoyed?
Both. I'm greedy Would love to get to the championship ,every season we were in was a struggle but the money and advantages of the top half of it makes that inevitable for most clubs like ours IMO. And I'm missing the obvious posters who whinged every time we were in a relegation battle.( which by the way involved almost half the division for most part of the season and a lot bigger clubs than us.) and wanted us demoted so we could win more regularly.
I would've taken promotion over the JPT win, much as I enjoyed it, every day of the week. There's obviously still a very (very) slim chance that we could do both.
