I guess Gary Mackay-Steven or Eagles wont be coming then as that position is filled

Also don't think the other one will be Rhys Murphy, as there wouldn't be this haste to get him in before Saturday what with him being injured.

Also not sure I want a 'wow' signing (assuming Keith's not it), as they never seem to work out for us

    Mido
    Frimpong
    Sheron
Drug adled Scot striker from Brum (whose name I just can't remember ... early onset?)

Would Hignett and Glavin been considered as 'wow' at the time we signed them?

When we signed Hignett we'd just been relegated from the Prem and had plenty of money in the bank, so we were expecting the club to bring in some high quality players. Ashley Ward was also signed when we had some sort of financial clout, but I never expected him to be quite as good as he actually was. Having said that, ex-Premier leaguers Richardson and Van Der Laan proved to be absolutely useless.

    Garry O'Connor.

I think Treacy is the big signing, I certainly believe he's a real coup for this league and would like to think that he's had to take something of a pay cut from what he was on at Burnley to come here.

Seen as though the 2 strikers we have signed scored 40 goals between them last season, and we also have Danny Rose who has impressed in pre season, I wouldn't be surprised if the striker we sign is either a journeyman or a young premier league lad on loan.

We made a cheeky offer for Gary Mackay-Steven in my opinion and was never going to come. He has been one of the best players in Scotland recently and wouldn't come to us or League 1. The Rhys Murphy deal was dead as soon as Sam Winnall signed and Chris Eagles will end up signing for a top Championship side.

A 'wow' signing at this level is totally different to a Championship 'wow' signing. Mido was a big name Premier League wise one upon a time as was Emmanuel Frinpong but we're only going to get big names from the Championship, now we have dropped a division.

P.S Mike Sheron wasn't that bad haha

Sheron would have been absolutely fine had we signed him for 350k or so. But for what we allegedly paid - very poor value, considering that a club like ours can't afford to throw around that sort of cash willy-nilly.

    It's Leroy Lita.

Giddings has tweeted that we're in talks with him.

Treacy must be the wow signing. I'm surprised he's dropped to league one
