Glentoran to Barnsley - not for the first time.

Way back in 1949 we picked up a young lad by the name of Danny Blanchflower from Glentoran for a reported fee of £6,000 - big money in those days. He was a star wing half and developed at Oakwell before moving on to Aston Villa for £15,000 - decent profit, but I bet people were saying "we're giving him away!" even then.

The rest is history. Danny went on to be a rolls royce of a player for Spurs and then a renowned journalist.

If this new lad turns out anywhere near as good......
