Doesn't sound like a genuine apology mate

And you used the word again. I would be surprised if this thread is around for much longer.

That word could be a form of abbreviation like "Brit" for example, a term used to describe British, or Aussie, or Scot, or Swede

It could be, but it is a racist term

And has been proved to be so in court.

I think if anyone who uses that word is honest, they are not using it to abbreviate a term for a Pakistani person. The point you made about Swedes, Aussies is interesting though as it's just using the same form as P**i word

But the term Brit, Aussie or Kiwi would not be classed as racist in courts me thinks and it's exactly the same thing

    Lynch mob?

You were the first to mention lynch mob. All I am questioning is whether that word is racist or not, and, if so, why someone would use it again having been banned for it once.

And there is nothing wrong with having morals (in my opinion). Most of us have them to some extent, so I suppose you are right, morals abound.

At the end of the day this is a football forum, and with football trying to do something about racism its not appropeate to use the word.

    You weren't banned for saying

'Paki' - you were banned for saying 'sponging Paki basterd' in reference to a 'woman in a ninja outfit'. Slight difference!

Not quite the same I think

Most people would not insult me if they said I was a "Brit". But the P word is understood by most reasonable people to be offensive and racist, and has been held to be so in courts.

Many years ago I made frequent trips to Scotland, and I got used to being insulted up there. I could go along with being called a "barsteward", but somehow I found "English barsteward" insulting. Still not sure why.

    No it isn't

A Brit refers to someone from Britain, an Aussie to an Australian, a Kiwi to someone from New Zealand. A 'Paki' is what some people call anyone with a particular look, be they from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, numerous Middle Eastern countries or even if they were born and bred in England.

That's because we don't make a big song and dance and say that being called a Brit is offensive. The Pakistanis made a big song and dance about the Pa*i word years ago and it's stuck, so we now believe that it is a bad word but when you compare it to other countries people that have been abbreviated in the same way eg. Aussies, that's deemed to be ok. Not right what's good for the goose and all that

    Lynch mob? Run him over?

You keep using these type of phrases, no one else does. Glad Cazi has clarified what the ban was for. Personally I don't like people using that word but that is my opinion, and I would not dream of trying to convince you to have the same opinion as me.

I don't have anything against you for having a different opinion, you have an absolute right to that.
