    So GNER admit they have bid too much for the franchise, the government comes and allows new offers for the franchise and GNER can bit again for the same route.

    Un bloody belivable.

    I'm just going out to buy something I can't afford, and then I'm going to take it back to the shop I bought it from and then I'm going to try and buy it back at half the price ..... back soon.

    At least privatising the railways means we, the taxpayers,

    don't have to subsidise unprofitable, inefficient state run industries any more!

    Oh yes we do, the rail industry receives more in subsidies and grants than British Rail ever got.
