Apologies - they took some getting used to ! ! ! Davies - 5 - OK, but not commanding enough. Should have heard his voice for those long balls into the wind. Also, tried to make a "camera save" second half and ended up nearly making a tit of himself. I don't like that. Dudgeon - 7 - Did OK and I'm sure will get better given his pedigree. Will have more self-belief next time out Brown - 6 - Did OK and got into some good positions (esp defensively). BUT, seemed shy to get forward with any conviction and looked to rely too much on his right foot. Steady Crainie - 7 - Did OK, some good interceptions and clever breaks. Long balss forward to Rose ineffective though. Nyatanga - 7 - Thought he played really well (apart from goal) and looked solid. Hourihane - 8 - 8 is probably pushing it but gets my MOM this week. Looks very good. Reminded me of Redders to a degree, though without the end product. Couple of decent efforts early second half at least called keeper into action, and most passes were completed. Berry - 7 - Put a good shift in, looked a very busy player and am sure fans will take to him. Bailey - 6 - Steady, not a lot to say really but didn't do too much wrong. Rose - 5 - Looked lightweight. Easily shoved and no chance of winning high balls, which to be fair to him shouldn't have been so prevalent Winnall - 6 - Not sure. Willing runner, but we have had plenty of them. Made himself available but not even a sniff of an end product today. Jennings - 5 - Started quiet. Didn't get the service, but didn't go looking for the action either. Had a good shot that stretched Jensen, but any mazy dribbles were missing. Was starting to look busy when he go sent off (I didn't see much wrong, but obviously DW and others did - terrible tackle on him) Nana - 6 - Not on long enough to make an impression - should have come on earlier, even at HT. Could have connected with best cross of the day near the end. Treacey -6 - Didn't look as out of shape as I imagined. Couple of decent crosses and passes.
I personally though Cranie was immense today. Never got beat; intercepted pretty much everything and won every header. Fair enough, the set piece may have been down to him and/or Nyatanga, but for the rest of the 89 minutes, he was exceptional.
