Sorry if this has already been pointed out, but something that really stands out from the league table is that the top 6 all have healthy goal difference safely into double figures but that the best outside the top 6 is only +3, then four teams with +1 and everyone else is negative. Not very interesting, perhaps, but it looked unusual to me that there was such a stark contrast between the top 6 and the rest.
Which means That even if a club comes from the chasing pack with a late run , they'll have to vastly improve their goal difference . In other words , simply winning games may not be enough for the like of Oldham or Doncaster . They have to put together a run of big wins and hope some of the playoff pack slip up .
