How does everyone consider this one? To me the clear goal of the season from a skill & quality perspective is Armstrong against Preston, my favourite of the year is Conor's against Leeds (I know I can't vote for this in the rules) and on sentiment quite honestly I'd have offered to keep Angus in Heroes Chocolates & Champers for life with that equalising goal against the Dee dah's!!

Add to that Hammill can only score worldy's for the reds and deserves long term worship a la Glavin, Redders & Hignett (Trust me history will demonstrate this) it's a pretty difficult decision ......Don't get me started on player of the season as I've 7 in contention for differing reasons!!!!

Winnall's header at Cardiff was class too.

Armstrong for me. Goal out of absolutely nothing.

For sheer quality of strike its a toss up between Hourihane's against Forest and the Leeds freekick. For outrageous skill its Armstrong v PNE. And for the total madness and the timing its Angus v Deedars. Tough tough tough. Personally though I have to vote for Hourihane's freekick. His last Oakwell goal which sealed his legend status.

Agreed. And in terms of contribution to the season he has contributed more than Armstrong, as good as the goal was at Preston

I voted for Hourihane's goal at Forest. Armstrong's goal at Preston a close second.

Winnall vs Cardiff for me. Quite possibly the best headed goal I have seen from a BFC player.

Hourihane at Forest for me, the skill to do that in the last minute of a pretty drab game spoke volumes about him. His free kick was probably second for me but I always think free kicks are slightly easier than one from open play.

He was trying to head it back across goal. He fluked it.

It was deflected, and we already had two Conor strikes included. We omitted his QPR free kick for similar reasons.

By the way, Armstrong's at PNE was the best goal, the 'goal of the season', if we're being honest. The slide tackle, the great ball over the top, the sublime skill and perfect finish, and it secured three points. But my own personal favourite was Angus' against Wednesday, because it's the only time I've failed to remain professional in the press box. I went barmy.

Armstrong at Preston for me. Superb goal by any standards, great tackle to regain possession, excellent long ball, sublime skill to leave the defender looking silly and clinical finish to round it off.

One hell of a fluke then.

    Is that the party line?

You must be too young to remember Macca`s header against Brighton in the League Cup!
If ever a headed goal could break the back of the net it would have been that one.

One of Conor's the Leeds one I think is best. Conor should be player of the season by a country mile.

Never saw McCarthy in a Barnsley shirt unfortunately but I will have a look on Youtube.
