I honestly think if we had a half decent goalkeeper then we would not have conceded so many goals this season. Neither keepers we have command the box and both have made blunders this season that have cost us games. Plus the defence too have been open to blunders from schoolboy defending. Nayantanga rarely got a game under Danny Wilson which indicates that he obviously didn't rate him and Mawson too is not dominant enough for a centre half and captain. The side is crying put for a chris Morgan type player who shows passion in the game and will not be dominated by big opposition forwards.

Of all the previous centre halves you could have used as an example you picked that bell-end. I do agree with your point though. We have major weaknesses in the team.

Ok then, a Mick Mc Carthy, Eric Winstanley, Pat Howard, Arjan D.,etc but if we don't get something sorted we'll be back in division four as
    was.

I agree. I think anyone who doesn't think relegation to the fourth division is now a possibility is burying their head in the sand.

I think of all our problems goalkeeper is less of a worry. Find it difficult to attach much blame to Davies yesterday - goal 1 Nyatanga doesn't get rid and Mawson gets caught under the ball allowing a man smaller than him to out jump him. Goal 2 Pearson plays a terrible ball they break, pull ball across and stick it in the top bag.

You could, maybe, at a push say he could have come out and punched the cross that led to the first goal... But it was a marginal decision at best and there's no way our two centre halfs should have allowed that goal to occur.

At this point in time I'd be more than happy to lose both Mawson and Nyatanga if it meant we could have Cranie back though. In my view the general weakness of the defence this year highlights how good a player he was.

I don't think Davies has done much wrong all season to be fair. Obviously when he makes a mistake he generally costs us a goal, which is the nature of his job. The majority of the blame needs to lie at the 4 in front of him, and even the holding midfield players. I mean it's easy to blame Davies for fumbling the ball at Altrincham last week but when you consider that Pearson tripped over the ball in the midfield, and the centre halfs didn't close down the attacking player, he can be forgiven a little when 3 other players have made a mess in the build up.

The problem for me lies with the back 4. Individually I think Roberts, Mawson, Nyatanga, Smith and Wabara are all decent players. However they all have certain weaknesses to their game which the others are unable to compensate for.

At the minute were making 1 or 2 defensive errors a game which is costing us 1 or 2 goals. And down the other end, we're not converting enough chances to compensate for that.
