How the **** was that 2nd a pen ? We'd have been waiting now for the ref to blow if it'd been us attacking - twatting refs. Anyway, You Actual Reds.
Thanks for posting. The second pen was a joke and the third was dubious, someone should have a word with the ref because he seemed determined to get something for Reading. We wouldn't have got any of those three. Borderline cheating IMO.
I agree but I can see how a ref could give the first. No excuse whatsoever for the second and to give a dubious third in the same half is nothing short of corrupt. Will anything happen about the ref? No **** all as usual.
Why do we always end up with incompetent referees home and away. One another day that ****** could have cost us the game. Respect for them when they make decisions like that week in week out; not a chance.
who let the dogs out woof, (was it Toby getting in on the act) anyway thank you for posting much appreciated
Poor decisions for 2nd and 3rd pens 3rd was obviously outside the box - and it was the linesman that gave it - and for the second, McEverly clearly got the ball and the Reading player just fell over. Why are they so bad?????
ALL 3 PENALTIES were conceeded down Barnsleys left hand side !!! Something the Hillflicker brothers will surely be looking at..........e.g. new left back required
Re: ALL 3 PENALTIES were conceeded down Barnsleys left hand side !!! I didn't go yesterday. Who played left wing? The McEveley/Perkins combo down the left has not worked well at the games I've been to. Did he persist with this? Did it work any better? Or did he change things round a bit?
I've studied them all several times now and I still think... None of them were penalties: The 1st: there's a real delay between McEverly making the tackle and Kebe going down; it is a silly tackle to make inside the box, however I think Kebe only goes to ground after he's made a bad touch and the ball has got away from him. The 2nd: Never a penalty in a million years, McEverly literally kicks the ball against the Reading lad, who drops to ground as he's going nowhere. The 3rd: Very tight, and I suppose the advantage has to go to the attacker if the ref is in any doubt, but for me, it's marginally outside the area. Edwards makes the tackle aabout 3 yards outside the box and the attacker falls well inside of it.
Is it Barnsley's left side that's weak or Reading's right side that's strong Jimmy Kebe always rips through us; I remember him playing against us 2 years ago, Simon Davey's last game in charge, Kebe scored 2 and set 1 up (or the other way around, I can't quite remember). He ripped us apart away last season, he was instrumental at Oakwell last year, albeit he had an off day, and again on saturday, he drew out/dove/conned the ref/(insert view on 1st penalty here) the first penalty on saturday with his pace and trickery. There's one thing for sure, we won't be playing against him every week, and for the last few years, for me, he's been the stand out opposition player.
Re: ALL 3 PENALTIES were conceeded down Barnsleys left hand side !!! My brother was watching the 2nd half earlier and there was a section where McEverly was chasing Kebe, then Done came in and stole the ball, so i'd say it was McEverly and Done. Listening to commentary on saturday, we seemed more asured when McNulty came on for Jay Mac, albeit McEverly seemed to have a half decent game.
