Oh yes!

Always said Hayes is not a striker, that he looked better out on the wing towards back end of last season. We do need a quick striker to make those runs in behind their back 4 (as old man Hayles and Ebanks-Blake did) all our strikers are the same they don't (can't?) do that.

Devaney needs dropping. Doesn't track back that well, and to be honest not doing too much at the minute (MY OPINION!) Hayes did well back end of last season on wing.

Funny that - somebody behind me was caling Dev lazy and that was just after he'd tackled in our own area.

Can't believe anyone would consider dropping him

but if hayes was playing out there - we would not be able to attack as freely as we do now

we break with pace, but hayes aint got that.

if you want to change the wingers why no play mcparland or ??? [IMG]

but lets be right, there's no way devaney should be dropped

I respect your view that you think he shouldn't, but based on what I have seen recently (10 out of 12 games this season) I would drop him.

When was the last goal we scored from the wing?

not sure when the last goal came from the wings, but i would prefer us to keep player proper wingers. we're always more of a threat with pace down the sides.

I agree with the pace, but to be fair the end product is not there. That's probably because we don't have an out and out striker rather than the balls not getting into box BUT Devaney's looked abit sluggish for me.

fair do's then. i know the end product aint there just yet, but there is no one better for that position at the moment in my opinion.

just another point, i think devaney is more effective on the left side though.
