If we were to get a 'goalscorer' where would he fit in? Andy gray is playing well, he isnt though a natural goalscorer, but he plays the lone striker role very well. You couldn't drop him and put say a, maynard in the lone role it wouldn't work. Hill wouldn't play a 442, why should he, he has played a 4231 all his managerial career. Who could you even drop to play a 442, without putting players out of position. Everyone has a role to play in the current squad they're not just there to make the numbers up, they serve a purpose. Where would you put the 'goal scorer'? A winger perhaps?
I'd put a 'goalscorer' up front, pass or cross the ball to him in the last third of the pitch and tell him to score goals
Too easy that mate, have you not noticed how we are now brilliant and storming this league? Nah , me neither, but everytime I come on here some says that we are fantastic, yet we have only won 1, yes 1 game so far this season, basically because we dont score enough goals, so therefore something is radically wrong somewhere in this system we play. For me we dont get enough players into the box, we are not going to score 40 goals all season, unless and this is the radical bit we get a player or two inside the box with Gray, instead of hoping we can score another wonder strike. I like the way we play at times but we have to mix it up, not just play one way, teams will suss us out and then if that is the only way we can play, we will be ferked! I suppose I will be called names again now , but hey -ho!
