    I don't think they're exactly going to welcome him with open arms with comments like:

    "Just what we want, two fannies in central midfield with him and Ferguson"

    "One goal at Anfield doesn't make you an international"

    "England can keep him"

    ...turns out he's ineligible anyway, as you have to be under 21 if you want to switch alleigence after representing another country at any level.

    that seems more sensible than the version I had been told that if you had only played youth and it was five years or more ago you can switch.

    don't agree with this switching sides anyway he's English and that's that, well more English than Vainikolo or whatever his name is or Almunia anyway.
