Danny, that is, not the club! Seriously folks, there is absolutely NO mileage in yet another change. PC can't be expected to dig deep yet again, so what we have now will HAVE to be made to work. I warned two years ago that going cheap (with Benny Hill and the numpties he signed) would lead to relegation and fishing in an even lower pool. But we are where we are. So we have to deal with it. It all starts with shoring the defence up. If we have to play seven at the back, the worst we'll do is another 37 points. But actually, we've some promising young players in this squad - even though they lack physical presence at the moment. If we stop conceding - even if it gets ugly - then we will actually bag the odd goal (unlikely though that seems after today's showing) and blag a win or two. Cranie needs ditching - as I said at the start of the season. He is in no way a leader, and he's one of the last remnants of the losing mentality side we had last season. Make Turnbull captain, and let's let Big Jean and Lewin (or possibly Reece Brown in the centre) learn on the job. We can move forward from this. But the expectation levels need re-setting. The goal from here is simply to avoid relegation this season. P.S. Digby, RNL, Winnall need to be off the wage bill. And Jennings should be banned from Greggs.
Have to go with you on that one, Brewery. Never see him organising and directing. The captain should be the manager's voice on the pitch, encouraging, telling people what to do and where to do it. Brown was shocking in the last home game, continually drifting inside and leaving the MK winger with a 20 yard freeway down the side of the pitch, but who was telling him what to do? Well, me, Orsen and about nine thousand others, but on the field????
Love the Crainie & Jennings opinions. Trouble with Crainie is that no one will take him off us. Jennings must eat pies while he is training, it must be hard for a footballer that trains all week to actually put weight on.
