Stay clear of Deansgate Full of Chavs. Locks are ok but a bit poncy. What you after. How old are you?
28, going with her indoors but we both like a good drink! After good music, none of that dancey crap, don't like pretentious 10 bob millionaires or chav's
As much as a piss take this may sound. You should go down canal street then. Its chilled, good music and good bars. The birds go there so they dont get tapped on by every bloke with a pulse and there is never any trouble. Yeah, there are gay bars...and theres plenty of straight ones. they aint going to touch you up in the toilets. Ive not been for a while - but Prague 5 was a good place. Thats my advice mate.
Canal street is good if you can take seeing blokes dressed up and kissing, to be honest when me and her indoors go to manchester we always go down there for a beer or 3
I've heard it's ok round there, Northern Quarter as also been mentioned, only ever been to Mojo's and enjoyed that
Dry Bar....that used to be my fave haunt.... On Oldham Street, just off Piccadilly. http://www.worldsbestbars.com/public/venue_listing.jsp?categoryId=31¤tVenueId=159 ...or Corbieres .........just off St Anns Square. http://www.qype.co.uk/place/165217-Corbieres-Manchester
Mojo's is the best bar in the world has far as Im concerned. Brilliant indy music, and always busy on week nights.
Northern Quarter or Canal Street stay away from the Printworks or Deansgate Locks, they're full of chavs and proper bad gangstas innit.
Canal street isn't as good as it was, gone downhill in last few years. Head for the print works or the triangle which are better areas than canal street.
Re: Decide on Northern Quarter.... Been talking to a Manc at work, same age as me, same taste in music so sorted! Thanks everybody!
