The bad: It gives money to MK Dons The good: It gives money to Barnsley It increases the chances of Barnsley winning, therefore denying MK Dons £180,000 minimum. The good far outweighs the bad in my opinion so if the game interests you and you would usually go I suggest that it being MK Dons shouldn't put you off.
As far as I'm concerned there is no bad. Barnsley fans have no bearing on MK Dons's continued existence or prosperity.
im sorry for what happened to Wimbledon FC as im sure many people are but if anyone refuses to go watch the reds at MK dons they need seriously looking at.
I completely understand the arguments for and against but I've always said I'd not step foot in that ground and I intend to stick to that. They stand for everything that's wrong with football. People refuse to pay above a certain price - there's no difference here.
Yes mate, I'm gonna be pretty late to the game tomorrow so won't be able to meet him. Can you post em? I'll cover costs.
I'm with you Dyson although I am being put under a lot of pressure to put my morals to one side just for one FA cup game. At this point I'm not giving ground.
I personally wouldn't boycott the game, but I don't think my presence there would improve our chances of winning one iota. Between 1983 and 2009 we played Sheffield Wednesday 12 times at Hillsborough and lost the ******* lot of them. Every time with a massive away following. In that time I went to dozens of away games with very few Barnsley fans that we won. The size of your away following has got sod all to do with your results.
AFC Wimbledon took thousands of fans to Milton Keynes for a cup game in December. It's one thing being principled over this but where do you stop? There are far more serious issues that concern and implicate us all daily. Is anyone currently wearing any sports brands? You will not have to look too far to find something hideous in their recent history. Supermarkets and shopping centres are killing the high street and independent little shops, but it will not stop people going to Meadowhall. I could explain and demonstrate the inherent cruelty and the environmental catastrophe that is the meat industry, but it will not stop people eating it. Should I stop going to Oakwell because they put meat in the pies and burgers?* No-one likes what happened to Wimbledon, but let's keep a bit of perspective. * Not old horses, allegedly.... Though you it will cross your mind next time!
