Can anyone recommend anywhere to go/avoid for food & drink before going to the Leeds Arena? Thanks in advance like.
Leeds is a top night out. Some good pubs are Tapped, Brewdog, Hop, Brewery Top. List is endless. Not particularly cheap though but it really has come on leaps and bounds.
It depends what you like, your budget and if you're looking for a pub/somewhere a bit more upmarket. Red Hot World Buffet is supposed to be fantastic. Red's True Barbacue has good reviews too as does the Pit (thanks sir ronald, I couldn't remember the name). Failing that, you can't beat a good 'Spoons, of which there are loads in town centre.
Can't work out if thats sarcasm or if it has changed significantly since I worked in Leeds. That area made Chapeltown and Seacroft look good...
I remember walking through there during the day not knowing where I was and feeling incredibly uncomfortable and scared (even though there was no-one around), it wasn't until later that I found out what it was called. I'd heard of the area but didn't know where it was.
Town Hall Tavern , Taylor's beers foods good or Veritas near Infirmary Hospital similar type place real ale foods not bad
Worked in Leeds for 6 years now, lived in Barnsley town centre for the past 3. When l drive home l must get in a time machine, different world Barnsley and not for the better. I'm going on Friday, parking in wood house car park near work and probably heading to Reds.
Aye, missus is a big fan. Looking forward more to seeing The Maccabees supporting. Cheers for the recommendations everyone, I was joking when I called Leeds a shithole. Its just got that horrible football club that taints the place. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Don't go to the Stick or Twist Wetherspoons next to it; full of tramps and is a dump. Hedley Verity Wetherspoons is a lot nicer though if you like Spoons. North Bar is cool but tiny so could be full; has dozens of beers from around the world. The Lounge is okay and is also not far away. There are more nice places than bad.
