Yorkshire are better than MCC and Mr. Lyth has scored more in one innings than Cook and Compton managed together in four innings.

Yorkshire are, indeed, superior in every way to the MCC.
Just bowled them out for a similar total to in the first innings. Yorks just started second innnings with only 70 needed to win it.

I see another great season ahead. Come on YORKSHIRE!!

Hopefully but winning it again could be hard with anything upto six missing in one go playing for England.

True. Just listening to Andrew Gale talking about the squad though and it is a very deep and talented squad. It's galling to lose the best players but we really have got good backup and he said they would rather rely on the local lads rather than just going out and signing a couple of replacements from other counties.

Mind you, he didn't mention the overseas element coming in. Younis Khan, Kane Williamson, Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell are all coming in. Really exciting season ahead I'm sure of it. Be great to go into it on the back of a successful end to the BFC season as well!

Plenty of overseas but only one allowed at County Championship level. Could do worse than bring in KP to strengthen the line up. No Gale in this match. Hopefully in Will Rhodes we've the next good all rounder.

Thrashed MCC by nine wickets with a day to spare.

That's quite an opening statement in anybody's book!

Will Rhodes is going to be a seriously good player it seems, really enjoyed the day, Yorkshire bowled well with brooks looking pacy and rashid bowling a long spell, bresnan and sidebottom were used sparsely but maybe that was more to do with match situation rather than anything untoward

Spoke to Dickie bird which was nice and Alastair cook went for a boundary edge walk with Jason Gillespie for about 2 hours, future England coach and captain??

Not a bad run ashore that! Lucky man.

I fear you may be right about Jason going to the England set up. Only a matter of time I suspect. Amazed that they never snapped Darren Lehmann up before he Aussies did. Current set up is a waste of time. I can only see more humiliation coming later in the summer. But, hey ho. Yorkshire are going to be worth watching again

Think Gillespie could be going fairly soon given Boparas comments today and KP signing for Surrey playing County cricket, Gillespies a big enough character to sort KP out
