Two charged over Goldthorpe 'murder' Tuesday 4th October 2011 Two people have been charged in connection with the alleged murder of a Goldthorpe woman. Joy Billam, 46, of Garden Street, was found in the boot of her purple Ford Fiesta Fusion at the weekend. She had died of strangulation, a post-mortem investigation found. The vehicle had been parked on Doncaster Road near the junction with the A635. Police charged two suspects on Monday. Raymond Vernon Billam, 63, of Doncaster, was charged with murder while a boy, 16, was charged with assisting offenders. Both were due to appear before Barnsley Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
