http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbKbSVI3_O0
Whatever happened to Sean McClare? Looked like a worldbeater in this match!

Only three subs! It seems like five subs have been allowed forever, now! Considering they played with three up front they didn't have a shot in the first half...
Well I almost included McClare's two chances and Barnard's right footed shot that hit the post just before Ward's goal.
Huddersfield's goal was in there for a time as well but there was no need to include that.

RE: Only three subs! What a match, and its strange you forget some of the quality players we had. Ward, Dyer, Hignett Im just so glad i witnessed that match in person.
I can remember it well! The buzz at half-time down at the East Stand bar was fantastic! "Can't remember the last time we were six-nowt up at half-time" was the most uttered remark in that fifteen minutes! John Hendrie had us playing some good footie that season!
watched it on tv, had a ticket but our first daughter had just been born so i stayed at home....also had missed the win at Sunderland the week before, again i had a ticket
RE: watched it on tv, had a ticket but Fantastic game (obviously!) - got blind drunk afterwards and got into serious trouble with my, then, girlfriend! We had some fantastic players back then - very few of the current lot get near 'em for quality...
Funny we got rid of our Manager after that too!! Crazy football club we support (dunno) (dunno) (dunno)
Irish pub, West Ealing My nearest Sky pub at the time. Bizarrely, some old fella in there had backed us for 6-0 - showed me the betting slip before kick-off. 'You mad old pillock', I thought.......
We never learn, eh? I don't think we should've sacked Hendrie - one season is simply not long enough to test a manager. The revolving door has got to stop somewhere - it was partially responsible for us going into admin, is hardly conducive to good football and has got us into the situation we find ourselves in now.
I was told by Hendrie , that we had 13 players needing operations that year, well to be precise, 13 operations on our players.obviously some on same players. Should have given him another season , ah well thats all over and done with now.
RE: I was told by Hendrie , Could be wrong but I seem to remember that being the only game that Ward and Hignett played together for us ? Tremendous shame.
Fjortoft was sold just before the Huddersfield match to Eintracht Frankfurt I believe. Forget the fee.
