Good..........but not good enough........we need new wingbacks

We were poor in defence on both sides of the pitch especially left back; Nyatanga isn't a full back and maybe its a bit too soon yet for Bree.
Williams looks good going forward but he needs to realise that one of his duties is to cover the full back position.
Bradford were finding it really easy to pick their forwards out from wide positions.
Other managers in the league will have seen that.
A bit more quality in the wide areas (as Swindon had) and Bradford could have easily won the game.
Before Wilson brings in an old fashioned centre forward he needs to get the full back positions sorted out.

On the plus side the WELL looked great and we look very decent going forward.
We are not far off being a good 1st division side.

Bree played well and Danny switched Williams to a central role after 10 mins - did you have yer eyes closed or summat?

Bree turned 17 yesterday. He was awesome at full back.

I'm aware I'm biting to a wind up here but just in case I'm not, you cannot be serious?

Bradford created literally nothing after their first minute goal, and got no joy down the flanks. Zip. That was in part down to them being poor, but also because Bree and Nyatanga barely let anything past them. We've been very exposed on the wings in some games this season. This wasn't one of them.

 

Geeor Nudge.........we looked reasonably comfortable all game (apart from first 2 mins). We totally bossed that game for 75% of it. Best Reds performance as a team for some time........on the whole, quite impressed.....you reds!!

 

Williams provided the drive forward through the middle that we have been missing so far this season.

We did whack it high up front again too often first half, only for their centre half to beat Winnall at leisure. No need to do this if we can pass and run.

Once we equalised the game opened up and we had the pace and skill to run at them and hurt them.

Berry looked a decent player, especially when excused from being out on the left.

And the loan players have made a big difference and perform a hell of a lot better than those we got in to finish last season.

More encouraging.

I think he's got a point, in that Bradford got too many balls into the box from their left hand side second half

I think they targeted Bree a bit, and that's why Brown came on and he moved into midfield. Bree wasn't getting a lot of cover, so he did the covering for Brown
