Thought the Youngster did alreight last neet especially first haif, tired second haif, did stand off his man a bit but then most of our left siders int last 10-15 years have never been tight enough to the winger for my liking. Hope he gets a few more games.

Agreed. Thought he was one of our better players last night.

Some players just adapt to the step up better than you'd imagine. It's a bit like cricketers doing better in Test cricket than they did first class. Some just have something about them that comes out at a higher standard.

He looked good on the ball. Looked the better out of the two full-backs last night.

interesting to read this because i thought he didn't have a good start at all, but came into it more as the game went on. That said it was his first game at Oakwell and i like to see our own younger players given a go so i wont be writing him off just yet.

He's clearly a right back though and having been impressed with Jones at left back against Leeds i thought Hecky might have gone down that road when i read the team sheet.

Thought he got better as the game progressed. He gave away the daft foul that ultimately led to the first goal, putting us under pressure at the back. Was more of a shoulder charge but he just didn't need to do it in my opinion. They got the free kick, out for a corner then we are 1 nil down. Can forgive him the mistake though, bound to make some as he develops. Think we'll be far stronger when Yiadom returns.

I'd much prefer him to challenge for the ball than not do it at all, it wasn't a foul either way it was quite clearly shoulder to shoulder and there player just threw himself down and the muppet with cards just gave a freekick

Thought he did ok, and also on Saturday, although his positioning at corners was a bit suspect. Thinking of one in the second half where he left the front post wide open, and opted to stand on the goal line in the centre of the goal. One of the other players told him to move onto the front post.

I was impressed. Good to see him developing and the development squad producing another good player for the first team when needed

Wasn't impressed to be honest. No way was it a free kick for the first goal but he got skinned a couple of times, put a couple of passes straight out of play, looked all over the place & got bullied too easy.

He looks like he needs to fill out a bit like Bree did.

Whilst I don't think it was a bad debut it certainly wasn't a good one. I'd say for a debut it goes down as ok especially if he's more suited to the right side
