Good free anti virus and firewall?

    Particularly firewall.

    A mate at work is just getting hooked up to broadband and was asking me about firewalls etc.....what's the one a lot on here mention...is it zone alarm?

    AVG for antivirus and kerio for the firewall dont like zone alarm personally but kerio seems to do a good job

    www.grisoft.com (AVG) for the antivirus although you have to remember to regularly scan your system as there isn't an autorun option.

    For the firewall I use ZoneAlarm and have done for several years now.

    best one i've found anyway zone alarm is top class and the easiest to understand , and if i can it should be a pisscake to anyone else ....(Y)
