Talking about the problems that England have got.

Think they are saying England need a plan and stick with it. Something I really tried to say the other day with my post.

People in this country seem to just want to blame the players and the papers want to tag players with things that aren't true and stupid people believe it.

No idea what was said but.....

They need to instil footballing intelligence in the players, we need to be able to focus for 90 minutes & not switch off repeatedly. Teams should have to work hard to score against us.

There should definitely be a plan, when you're going into a tournament & you don't know your best team or formation it's an embarrassing state of affairs.

You should have a balanced squad, naming only one natural winger & taking Ross Barkley as 4th choice no. 10 when you could take another winger is beyond belief. As is taking 5 strikers when you only play with 1 central striker, using 2 as wingers & 1 in central midfield who'd never played for his country there.

The more I think about it the more I'd like to see Big Sam get a shot. He's got a proven track record of getting the best out of players & big name players at that, has fit sides & everyone knows their role.

The myth that he's a long ball merchant has also been well & truly destroyed with keeping Sunderland up using Defoe as a lone striker.

I think he's too outspoken to get the job & his accent doesn't fit either but I'd like to see him get a shot.

Allardyce for me too. He's not the establishment choice, and that's why I think he should get it. He won't pick players based on reputation or the club they play for, he will pick players to form a cohesive team with a consistent ethos.

For me Wales going through to the Semi's puts a lot of this the academy's aren't good enough ect nonsense to bed.

How many of these welsh Internationals have come through the Academy's in or part of the English system? Or how many of them haven't come through a English club academy or one of either Swansea, Cardiff Newport or Wrexham system.

For me it makes me think we need to look at what they have. Good team spirit, people getting behind them and a plan. Now it's different for them because I would say teams aren't that defensive against them but they look good. A bit of luck also.

I should mention that Bale doesn't get the mentions he should. World Class TEAM PLAYER. How many are their of them and been of them? Can't be many int he History of the game.

But if you listen to the Welsh players or Coaching staff speak it's not like that. Their was a doc on the BBC about him and they talked to a lot of the Welsh squad/ Staff and they said it's the opposite.

Some of the were critical of Ryan Giggs over and for a TV interview went in at him a little.

What i'm saying, The Welsh squad can't say what the Media report.

Shearer also made a good point about not trying to shoehorn players into unfamiliar positions, picking players in form rather than on reputation, especially those in the latter category who've been injured and barely played. Wales could be this year's equivalent of Denmark in 92.

I think the players might be frightened to play for England at times. People seem to want to blame when England play. That must not be great for the players. I don't think the Welsh have that.

They are told how good they are. Now It's a different sport but the cricket team and Paul Farbrace and the Rugby union team do it too.

Agree with that to a degree, high expectations and all that. But that's what £100k per week brings with it and irks the typical supporter. Being paid that amount and turning in performances like we've seen. There's more of an affinity with Wales and Iceland as relative underdogs, journeymen pros.

    Money Money Money.

Been attacked physically or verbally will affect you. Above I called Bale a world class yet team player. Think of the mental resolve he needs to have with that. Yet he WAS AFFECTED at Madrid was it 18 month ago. Marca were the cheerleaders of this. Somehow he got through it. the Rest well.........

    Problems England's got..

Average of 75 players in the top flight to pick from every weekend
Lack of coaches in the English game qualified at The top level with the inventiveness and imagination to do things differently.
Paying stupid money to 17 year old kids who have become millionaires overnight loosing the desire to win trophies and games.
The protective bubble and mollycoddling around the England squad from youth to the first team.
The overhyping of the players from youth to club level
The premier league and fas obsession with money
    Lack of bottle
    Inability to handle pressure
Lack of structure from top to bottom.
Epl stock piling kids looking for the next world class player ruining the development of the many.
Lack of competitive reserve football v the piss poor pussying about U21 leagues
Fear of the English player moving over seas.

    For starters.

Pochettino for me. Great at bringing through the youngsters having already worked with most of ours at Soton and Spurs, plays a fast tempo, attacking style of football and knows what the English game is all about. He'd be by far and away my first choice.

OK HT, so who do we blame, the physio?

The players do have to take the blame somewhere along the line ...

Would he want to though? Especially now with all the pressure and how rubbish we've been. He's got it good at Spurs, good talented youngsters coming through, champions league football, etc

The fans have every right to moan and grumble at the players. Rooney on 250,000 a week and he couldn't make a 5 yard pass against ICELAND. And it wasn't just once or twice, he fell apart in the second half. Just like the rest

for one the Welsh and English systems are the same. These players aren't coming through the homegrown Welsh clubs that play in the wlesh league, They come from Arsenal Liverpool man city ...............

Let's be real, all clubs stock pile youth players. They do.

Exactly, youre not telling me that they'd rather play for Wales instead of England (apart from a select few). So why are we deeming these players not good enough? and why do they handle it so much better than all these supposed England super stars?
