RE: Agree Strange decision to get rid of a player that is out of his depth in this division? Few decent games for us over the years, but time to move on
RE: Agree I didn't mean to provoke a discussion about his merits or otherwise. I prefer just to remember him and wish him luck. Those two pictures represent arguably his finest moments in a Reds shirt - the wins over Liverpool and Chelsea. And THOSE crosses. Still got the ringtone from the Chelsea one on my phone. "Van Homoet.......Devaney ignores him, in goes the cross, swirling towards O D E J A Y I...................". Still brings a tear to my eye when I hear it. Good luck Disco.
RE: Agree Away at Bradford in the promotion season. Game finished 0-0 but he was fantastic. As good a performance from a wide player as I have seen. He was on the left and Bradford changed their RB after about half hour because he was getting mullered. The replacement was tormented too for the entire game.
His football was pleasing on the eye but we have to move onwards and upwards A stylish player but is never going to take us to the next level. Thanks Disco for some good memories and good luck at your next club.
Forgot about that That second goal was almost in his own half! Well it seemed like that at the time. Like some say, played a big part in keeping us up.
RE: Forgot about that Never miss a trick, that's ar Doddy! You're right though, age does creep up. Can't fight it, just enjoy life and ****** to your age. That's my principle. Only thing is, it makes you look a bit of a tit at times
RE: Agree, good luck to the lad Always admired him, a 150% player. He'll still do well from the game I'm sure.
I feel for disco becasue last year was always stop start for him due to injuries and lack of form, before that he was a very good player for the club. Also always a top bloke whenever I spoke to him as well, very down to earth I thought, love the club and fans
Model proffesional and always clapped East Stand before every game Had a good laugh with him in O'Dwyers after Town Hall celebrations. Always remember handing my phone over to him and him singing "Eee i eee i eee i oh up the football league we go" to my dad in his cockny gangster accent Up the Disco Have a good month at MK and come back raring to go, one of the few remainders of that awesome day in Cardiff squad
not forgetting his goal against Leeds, the cross for Foster at Liverpool and KO against Chelsea, the winner at Rotherham, his 2 beautys at Plymouth!
That commentary is still my alarm on my phone for when i get up on a morning. And don't forget that cross he provided for Hayes's goal in the play-off final, and that 35 yard goal against Plymouth away.
