I'm cooking us a meal tonight. My heart says something traditional. Roast Beef and Yorkshires, Cumberland Sausage, a nice stew. Pig roast ...... ?

    Inspire me.

For a cold night like this..

.... a good tasty Beef Casserole, made with chunks of nice beefstake (any supermarket) carrots, swede and potatoes, done in a beef stock wi half a can of guinness (drink the other half whilst preparing) and served up with suet dumplings.

    Hearty and scrumptious.

I'd get shin beef from a butchers, rather than stewing meat from a supermarket.

    Thats a good shout actually.

My old Grandma's favourite. And she used to put a couple of chunks of chocolate in too, which I've often heard lots of older people tend to do to stews.
