Well done the nine men (eight when Ugbo came on). Can't help thinking we'd have won that without Moncur wasting the right midfield berth and Gardnerk wasting air. Lindsay immense, Pinnock good when he came on. Davies only one save to make.

Harsh on the team. Davies 2 great saves, moncur wasn’t as bad as usual, comfortably second best for the majority of the game but it was great to see defenders throwing themselves into tackles and blocks and actually looking like defenders for a change.

Bit harsh on Moncur. He had a good second half and our only player to create anything. Agree with you about Gardner and Ugbo.
Brentford were poor with final ball fortunately Great save from Davis at the end and great save from their keeper from the free kick half way through 2nd half.

Very harsh on Davies and the team. He made SEVERAL great saves, bravely too. I have to say we were poor first half, having difficulty stringing a few passes together, and we lived dangerously at times. Brentford were passing it about looking assured.

The second half was a big improvement as confidence grew, and as Pompey Red says we were quicker into tackles, putting bodies on the line.

Could have even nicked it late in the second half with a free kick (from Barnes I think it was) almost finding the bottom corner.

A mention for Tom Bradshaw who worked tirelessly up front and gained us free kicks in dangerous areas.

Very pleased to have stopped the rot.

Not a dig at anyone but why play moncur on the right wing he is no winger. Good point though.

Because he is better than Potts in that position?

Not sure why Hammill didn’t start though.

Maybe better than Potts but he is no winger I know isgrove is injured hammill would have been starting for me thiam would be on wing and victor or brown up top in my 11 before moncur started on wing but not for me to pick like I said a good point at a tough ground.

A decent result considering our form going into the game. A game lacking any quality from either side. We defended well and worked hard. Once again created very little and looked poor on the ball. The lack of goals is a real worry, and I don't thino we have no h in the way of options that will change that.
