Season before we got promoted after only 1 season in Div2 IIRC. We were in the hunt for the title last season.

118-0 at lunch. Bonus points in the offing surely and none for them would be ideal.

Not quite the decider - both have another game after this one. But, of course, if Yorkshire win this one then that's it and I will be at Headingley to see the trophy being paraded round the field (if that's what they do?) against Somerset

I'd say it's a title decider for us. Do the business and we are champions. No ifs or buts.

Yesterday we were 8/11 to win. Looked this morning an had gone to 13/10. I thought yesterday was great value but today was awesome odds.

189 for 1, must be a real pick me up for Notts to get a wicket and then watch Gary Balance walking out to bat:cool:

244-1. Still Root, Bairstow, Leaning, Rashid and Bresnan to come. Great position to be in with Notts having to win the game.

319-4 at stumps. It's coming home;-)

Ps are we allowed to support Yorkshire CCC when they win the title as we should really follow Barnsley CC? Just wondered like?

    trying to do the math
big ifs obviously after day 1,
assume we draw this at worst that's notts out of the equation and warwicks win, they'll have around 212/213 pts to our 235/236
that'd make it nigh on impossible for warwicks to catch us

Evening wobble but Yorks in a great position. They are fortunate in they don't have to win the game, whereas Notts definitely do. Should be able to bat them out of the game if they carry on in the morning the same way. There's an omen to watch out for though.

Yorkshire have lost only one game this season and that was after a freakish fourth innings in excess of 400 got the win for Middlesex. Joe Root was stand-in captain that day. And guess who is stand-in captain today? Hmm, the same son of Sheffield. Can't happen again though.....can it?

If we only get a draw against notts we can clinch the title with just batting and bowling points in the last game, so effectively a draw should be enough.

Notts have no chance of getting 16 Yorkshire wickets in only three days. Plus having to have the likes of Alex Hales play like it's a 20/20 to try and claw back some time.
