Be a good DM midfield for us him.

Strong lad. Think he got a little bit annoyed with anyone that stood up to him but I really can't see that happening to him in the championship. I think Some players will be a little bit star struck with him and just back off.

I think its a cracking signing.

He is going to have a steep learning curve though. A much less glamorous setting, championship players will try and rile him and get him sent off. But if he can mature and keep his head, that's a brilliant addition to the squad.

I wouldn't try and Rile him. When it shows him coming on at Newcastle then thats a upper body that can easily do a lot of damage.

Also watching the video it's interesting to see the quality of teams he's played against.

For anyone that doesn't know much about him at all this is a good sentence or three.

Frimpong is known for his energy in the midfield and has been compared with ex-Arsenal player Alex Song and various other African midfielders who have lots of pace and stamina. He has also been called a younger version of Michael Essien because of his hard work in the defensive midfielder role.

Another note to add, the first yellow card he got against Liverpool wasn't actually a bad thing to do.
That shows hes got something upstairs and hopefully now hes learnt that when your on a yellow don't give the ref a chance to send you off.

Often you see Barnsley players not have game awareness. Just leave the ball. It's something I always liked about Darren Moore. He would head it out and then go straight away and pick it up and almost run back to his position and only give the bal back when his team mates were in position.

Behave, he'll be on the end of some right wind ups and heavy treatment.

I think physical violence will probably result in a red card or two.

First tactic a team will probably try.

Spoke with gf's dad and he rates him but said he was erratic and exuberant.

If harnessed properly, he can be a great success. If he gets bored or wound up, we'll have to manage him carefully.

Star-struck? It's not Ozil we've signed Phil. Frimpong's played in the Championship for Wolves and Charlton.

    Laughing.

"Barnsley's new signing from Arsenal Reserves has the ball, Wayne Bridge and Richard Dunne stand still open mouthed in admiration of him as he walks past them and dribbles the ball into the goal as the likes of Rob Green and Scott Carson are looking for their autograph books"
