...especially on saturday against the white *****. Times are not good down the Wild West - their fans are not happy at all with the poor performances. They do welcome back prolific striker Lee Trundle on saturday though so beware. He played 58 minutes at Preston last saturday and got rated as a 4/10 in the paper - & if he'd stayed on longer they said they were going to give him less . Another reporter stated he'd been kept on for 57 minutes too many. Bless him.
He ran rings round us in the play-off final but couldn't hit the proverbial cows arse with the proverbial banjo in front of goal. Touch wood this weekend will be the same.
He's not Jason Scotland though is he? Bet he wishes he had stayed put now. From Hero of the Valleys to the end of the Road to Wigan Pier
But it's the law ...in football that it won't last. I'm going to Reading soon & was more than confident until this morning when I found out the ref for tonight is Paul Taylor. Wish I hadn't got a ticket now tbh, it'll be The Paul Taylor Show again. 12 times he's reffed us & 12 times we've lost - with controversial decisions aplenty. He hates us with a passion. Last time he officiated, he sent off 2 of ours in the 1st 15 minutes at home to Sheff Utd last year - that's just one game but every one has been like that, honestly. We've asked that he doesn't ref us again - that worked then (
Jordi Gomez and Jason Scotland... Both ran rings round us Home and Away last season. Scored 4 against us between the pair of them and basically took the piss out of us. Thank god they've buggered off to Wigan to join the Martinez revolution . Excellent chance of beating them on Saturday. Ferrie Bodde is fit now though, i'd expect him to start... S) Swansea rejected a 4.5 Million bid from Wigan in the summer, the lad must have some ability!
I bet he phones Tim Lovejoy every day ...to thank him for his career. 3rd year in the Championship now - and his handful of goals says it all. There was a delay in his loan move to sw*nsea because they wanted a 3 month deal but Bristol City were pushing for the full season. make your own minds up why
There always seems to be referees Who take an obvious dislike for certain clubs. In our case, over the years, there's been the likes of Kevin McNally, George Courtney, Gary Willard, Trevor Kettle to name just a few.
They've got Jordi Lopez now though ...and on their messageboard today theres an 8-page (and continuing) thread about how ***** he is. All we heard when they signed him was about his UEFA cup medal. Must have been for "neatly combed hair" is all I can think. Bodde is a decent player, no doubt - although he's obviously not match fit. In fact their midfield is not bad overall with Leon Britton & young Joe Allon. Their defence (best player Rangel is injured) is poor though, and they're struggling to score big time. 2 wins on the spin for you imo
Strangely enough ...that lot have been ok with us as far as I can remember. Paul Taylor, Mark Clattenberg & Barry Knight are a different matter though. And we regularly get "curious" decisions from officials who are from border towns or counties. Wonder why that could be
At one time You never paid any attention to who the referee was. It seems to me that these days some referees like to be the 'star' of the show. I think the best referees are the ones you never notice and the post match conversations never mention them.
RE: They've got Jordi Lopez now though Wasn't Lopez at QPR with Sousa? Sure he came off the bench at Oakwell where we beat them 2-1 in February. Has Britton been at Swansea all his career? Seem to remember him taking a penatly against us back in Cardiff in 2005. Let's hope your right, good luck tonight by the way. Beat Reading and keep them struggling so there's not much of a gap appearing in points tally.
RE: They've got Jordi Lopez now though Yes, Lopez was with Sousa at QPR - albeit hardly playing. Seem to remember reading he's played about 10 games in the last 2 years. Wasn't injured either by all accounts. Britton has been down there for years, signed him as a kid from West Ham. Only one I can remember taking a pen against you is Akinfenwa for some reason, don't know why . I think the ball's landed now btw. As I said, was confident before I knew who was ref. Banker home on the coupon now imo
RE: But it's the law Paul Taylor used to be a git with us at one time, last min pen for handball at Port Vale when ball blasted at Morgan, same season I think, we had a disputed goal for Hudders in last minute that won them the game. Sending off Anthony Kay at Chessie and Warhurst against Fowls. Not been too bad last few times we`ve had him though.
RE: They've got Jordi Lopez now though Akinfenwa's penalty was a classic. Stop, start, stop, start, ahh ****, Colgan is still stood there, what shall I do? Let's hit it into the stands. Legend.
