I wouldn't give up the Ashes just yet...

I think we've done ok in this game, plenty to work on. Whatever happens now, even if we're out for 150 we haven't been thrashed in my opinion. We needed to bat first and bat well, as Warne bowling last in this country is always going to cause trouble.

Yorkshire chased over 400 to win earlier in the season - perhaps England could take some advice! Then again...

no need to panic, we hammered them the 1st day for 2 sessions, then we had some freak batting and some great bowling from a legend of the game, mcgrath. lets face it we always lose at lords to the aussies, we have done since the 30's but losing that 1st test doesnt result in a failure or losing the ashes its a five test series and england CAN win the ashes this time round

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

    Yeah, but...

They have Warne. We have Giles.

Any game that goes into 4 and 5 days, and they have the huge advantage.

Apparently it's going to rain all day tomorrow...

So if by some miracle we can keep all 7 wickets intact we could just about, at a push scrape a draw.

    Ever the optimist me!

I think we would be looking at a flood of biblical proportions to save the first test now mate! :(

    Yep...

As soon as I said that Vaughan went.

I have officially given up now.

I think we've still got a chance... If Warne suddedly develops Vibration white Finger in the next 10 minutes... Oh, and if McGrath, Lee and Gillespie's arms drop off
