Goodbye, Mr. Clarke..

.. 3 defeats in a row, at this level, for a club of our size is not acceptable.

-Connell, Phillips, Pines etc. have all regressed under your leadership this season.
-your team selections, especially recently have been hideous.

Your tactics in this game have cost us. The standards at this football club have dipped to stupidly low standards & the board deem this acceptable? We’re now less than a week to go in this window, without spending a ******* penny so far & needing a new manager.

 

Can he take some players with him.if he goes. Roberts, Mccarthy, pines, Humphrys, Cosgrove can all go for me.

 

Could lose the next three games and won’t sack him.

 

The 4 wins in a row were thoroughly deserved, and we should've had 6 at Bristol Rovers.

But then, absolutely inexplicably, he's set us up to basically draw the next two games - why? Why, as an experienced manager finally building up some credit with the fanbase, would you do what he's done the last two games? Inexcusable.

 

Under Clarke we have morphed into a mid-table League Two side.

Apart from the fact currently (under Clarke management) we’re an upper mid table side. Give it a rest with the hyperbole.

 

Can’t see why they won’t sack him, I mean our lack of continuity recently has worked so well it’s a no brainier innit , errr?
And it would make sense to piss any spare cash for a striker on the compo

 

We don't need clarke....Hourihane can step up.. its simple...nothing to lose....our defending is one of the worst in the league...our strikers aren't good enough...its not rocket science...and clarke thinks we have 5 great defenders...Roberts needs to retire

 

Was tough to take in that cold away end tonight.

I honestly feel for some of these lads, they should never have been put in this position. Some of them are dreadful.

I made a comment on way out that he’s gone because they aren’t playing for him. Look at that Robert’s tackle, he might aswell have said he can’t be arsed.

Now it’s not in the heat of the moment, I don’t think it’s they aren’t playing for him, I just think some of them can’t play football at all. Our signing of players and coaches is league 2 standard.

Nothing changes. The problems are much deeper at this Club.

 

The lack of discipline from Roberts a senior pro just after we have conceded a penalty was unacceptable

 

I would rather we lost our owners than Clarke. If they sack him they hire another chimp to work under their conditions.

Ahh yes. Our being in ninth after today’s game indicates we’re likely to be a league two team soon. We will obviously keep sinking. Or we obviously won’t but you’re being reactionary and ridiculous.

 

Baffling! We looked brilliant at Bristol even though we didn’t score, why change it?!

 

Full respect for you trekking to Wycombe tonight. I was frustrated to absolute buggery watching on my warm couch.

I think you're probably right to some extent on both counts. Some of the players just aren't very good. But the biggest frustration tonight was how we set up to just sit back and boot the ball away after going 1-0 up - in League 1. Just infuriating beyond belief. That's either Clarke instructing them to do that, or the players ignoring what he's actually telling them to do. Not sure which, neither helps us.

 

The squad is the problem. Not him. We’re a few places behind where we finished with our previous two managers. Neither of the two had to rely on players of the quality he has. I’d say he’s doing okay based on the squad.
