    That's the problem with offering one year deals. It's a double edged sword.

    If they are only offering one year deals its disgusting the players deserve better than that.How can they sit there and watch their best players been took from under their noses,im finding this very frustrating indeed.

    players were all offered 2 year contracts. mcphail got a 3 year at cardiff. i believe we could have kept him if we had offered him 3 years also. i reckon ALL playoff heros should have been given 3 year contracts.

    3 year deals in most cases are a thing of the past and it was such contracts that put us in the **** in the first place.

    Have we finished paying Kevin Donovan yet?

    I'd go for the more security.

    However, run a tight ship and all that. 1 year deals haven't been offered to them. 2 years is the average contract length these days and if we offered any player longer I'd be worried.
