The way he's got rid of our debt I wouldn't mind him staying in charge of our finances. But, I agree we need a footballing mind up there too.
We are still in debt And the fans have lost faith in him. Earlier in the season I would have said that you're right, he needs a footballing man with him, but now, after everything that has gone on, I think that he needs to go.
Mick With all due respect , you were not there In the last few weeks the heart (and all of his good work) has been ripped out of the club
he speaks the way a huge amount are speaking...well those of us who see the ***** we have not trying to offend Mickey but from your sunny shangrila you cannot see the total collapse of the club under the clowns we have in charge.
So... ... GS goes ? who's the replacement ? I'm not sticking up for him as some of the decisions over the last few months have been err.... 'unusual' to say the least, but someone has to be chairman, so who ?and don't cop out !
With regard to PC don't wish too hard as you may get what you wish for, I don't see too many multi millionaires out there willing to stand sureity over the debt.
By the way I'm very unhappy over the way things are a Oakwell and have been since the shabby way Ritchie was treated, so I'm not an appologist for the board just a realist.

You don't speak for me there ... I'm desolate about the footballing side of things and I have to say that with the way things are at the moment I am rapidly losing hope an accepting relegation as a foregone conclusion, it would appear that the players are operating under a similar conclusion if recent performances are anything to go by. However, the way the chairman has sorted the off field problems is nothing short of miraculous, so, on balance, I still think he has done a good job, and am happy to have him as chairman. The big mistake would appear to be the managerial appointment and if I'm honest when we started the season I expected to go down and would have been delighted to finish fourth from bottom. Sadly, I think we got promoted a season too soon and if we have to yo-yo before we get a foothold then so be it. I do however hate to see us sinking with a wimper, I would have expected a bit more fight from the team.
RE: You don't speak for me there ... personally I'd be happier with GS as a finance director. With regard to the footballing side I'd consider JD (tin hat on) never going to happen though, too many egos.
Supertyke
Since you seem to be the self appointed fans spokesman, maybe you could explain this to his face? Im sure the invitation's still open to you.
Keyboard warrior.

How can you get promoted a year too soon. thats rubbish Look at Hudders, You cannot gaurantee promotion, you take your chance, & then adjust after. We have simply not brought the players (2 -3) required to play at this level. Had we stayed down last season, & got promoted this season, we would still have had to bring players in. A team should always bring in better players once promoted.
i totally disagree with you GS has done a great job for Barnsley Football Club.
he as made only 2 mistakes, one; sacking Ritchie and two; appointing Davey.
other than that he as done a great job.

Disagree. Just keep to the finance side and away from the football side. Leave that to, and back to the hilt, a proper manager, with experience and ideas to progress. You need a management team, chairman and football manager working together doing their own jobs, but with a common goal to progress the club in the long-term. That means stability and building slowly and not knee-jerk reactionsat the first sign of a problem. I said sacking Ritchie was either a very brave or a very foolish move at the time, your actions since have done nothing to back-up the 'brave'part because I don't think we ever had the resources to do the 'brave' part. That hasmade the whole debacle look even more foolish.
