Sir Alan Haselhurst (Deputy Speaker no less) replying to my email about Hume, apologised for delay in replying and said "On receipt of your email I made imediate representations on your behalf to teh Department of Culture, Media and Sport but I have now discovered that the correspondence has gone astray. I have now faxed them again and will write to you again as soon as I hear from them."
