Here come the science bit Cos apparently when the gas in them fades/degenerates they cannot be re-gassed, hence no piccy.
RE: pray tell why?? last years technology. Too many problems etc... HD LCD with HDMI the way forward. Oh and if you want it for gamin etc you need a response rate of < 10ms - 8ms or less ideally.
Got a big lcd one yesterday hdtv , stuck it on the wall and it hasn't fallen down yet. feel quite smug about the whole incident.
where from? and how big it it!? oooerrr! lol Currys were doing a 40" ERAE model but i didnt think the response rate was good enough for mi 360. Hangin on till i see the right deal or they fall in price a bit.
It does, it's true, but Even if it degenerates to the point where in 5 years it's only half as good as it was when you bought it, it will still be brighter, with a better contrast ratio than many LCD tellies you buy today. FACT.
oooh not that big - the room is only about 11ft wide! its 27'' got it from comet, phillips ex display for £560 im not quite sure what you're talking about with this response rate business, but it's got me 2 shags and the "respect" from my mates, so it seems to be doing the job.
