BD 18% debt Liverpool 8% Tottenham 16% and could pay off the debt with a sale of one player. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Smoke and mirrors. I'm no financial expert but those figures reflecting a ratio of debt to value look a little misleading.
Forbes normally are good with there figues Mario. Just had another look. at the time of the report the manchester united one looks about right. think its a quite a bit less now as they paid some of the in september time.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeoza...nited-becomes-first-team-valued-at-3-billion/ That links saying they might have gone up to $3.3B so the % will be down even more.
Jesus christ Hemsie, everyone here knows that you hate Germans, just let it go already. And why on earth did you have to start a new thread when the Premiership vs. Bundesliga thread was already there?
I've got nothing to say in response to what you've just posted. I merely stated in the other thread (why couldn't you have posted in that thread is beyond me btw) that I prefer the Bundesliga approach as I would rather pay under £20 per match, no matter the division or opposition, and I'd love to see the reintroduction of terracing, and being able to drink decent alcohol responsibly at the match. I never mentioned debts etc, so take your shhhhhhhhhhhhh go watch Stonesy hopefully get off the bench against the 'debt-free' (in your world) Manchester United.
I think I know why. He wants attention. And whilst I never argued the case in terms of debt, I would be willing to have an adult debate with him and prove him wrong but his immature "shhhhhhhh" that he put at the end of his post served only to spoil what could have been a chance for him to be educated. Ahem.
That's exactly what it shows. It doesn't give an accurate value of what each club owes in money terms. This nice little article from last mays telegraph is a bit more concise. Be interesting in may this year when 2011-12 figures are released http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...l-health-of-the-Premier-League-laid-bare.html
The Teutonic Ruhr-valley giants have a higher debt than the Merseyside-based 5 time European Champions or the club from N17 then!
