Set up 4 training scheduals - def, mid, winger and striker - obviously set them to high defending for defenders - shooting for strikers etc.make sure the bar at bottom doesn't go into heavy training, this is too hard. I find it helps loads. Oh and loads of decent free buys Jody morris, matt jansen, malcolm christie and david weir - alos got pagluica but was *****.

Get at least one quality scout to examine players you seriously looking at signing.

Also as soon as you are able to have scouts outside UK get one into brazil looking at young players. I know thats probably common sense but if you also get a feeder club that allows you to avoid work permit regulations you have a steady supply of quality players. Long term though.

Formations wise there are plenty of sites with tactical advice on. I play a 4-4-2 against teams I expect to win playing wide with good wingers. When I am playing a difficult team away then I play a 5-4-1 narrow and concentrating play through middle. However a 4-3-3 formation with completely industrious / tenacious midfield and fast forwards either side of a strong target man works well for most situations. Midfielders need good physical stats to win ball regularly and high stamina so not tire easily. However its a cliche but you got to build your team around the type of players you got. No good playing the 4-3-3 with flimsy midfield or you will get smashed to bits every game.

I know you said you did not want any player tips but Mika Aarilito, Laura Dalla Valle and Pablo Piatti are all available for peanuts at begining of game and soon worth many millions (esp Piatti who goes for about 40k at beginning then two seasons in about 15mil!!!)

    Hope this helps.
