just heard that due to the financial irregularities @ ISOFT and impending action by national governments, PC is having to raise as much cash as possible. check out the stockmarkets today and the share values... hence, selling the club to 'an interested party' (GS), he will be able to avoid action by any governments, the court, and more importantly, the local council and also, the fans of BFC. if you dont beleive me, check it out for yourself, in the long term i will be proved to have been correct. after all, when did we last hear from our 'benefactor'? the club is actually £3m in 'debt' and this would be the easiest way out for everyone, especially if we have someone who is going to 'invest' in the club and hopefully get us to where we rightfully belong. lets just hope it all comes off without too much adverse reaction from fans and the public of Barnsley, after all, it has also been in the 'Chron' today that the council are trying to raise over £60m to invest in locall education, and what better place to start than a 'poor' investment in a local football team that has no ambityion to attain the riches of the premiership?
where did you hear that then. The Dti enquiry was announced last year and I think PC has already divested himself of his shares. Sounds like old news to me. Also the last accounts I saw stated that PC had guarenteed the clubs debt not that the money was owed to him. Unfortunately the accounts are minimal disclosure so it's difficult to establish the whole of the facts.

So we have a John Dennis consortium to look forward to then. Whatever happens it will be just another disappointment.
