got laptop problem with blue dots on the screen

    looks like some pixels are disappearing and replaced by tiny blue dots all over the screen

    anyone got any idea what this could be?

    It's dead pixels

    Nowt you can do about em either, you get em on on LCD TV's, PSP's etc.

    its not dead pixels - theres none there

    as i am writing this there are little blue dots following the cursor

    wondering if its some sort of virus - have you got access to a quick virus checker? cheers.

    laptop at home - in built mouse thing

    i have got a mousemat at work

    but banging that would be pretty useless i reckon.

    i might email someone at work and get them to try but i'm not too hopeful

    Try updating your driver

    Right click on your My Computer icon.
    Select Properties and then Hardware tab > Device manager > Display adapters.
    Right click on Update Driver and let it connect to the web.
    It'll download the latest driver and ask you to restart.
    That might fix it.

    If not, it could be a bit knackered.
