Players we have lost along the way, for one reason or another... Shackell, Vaz Te, Haynes, Butterfield, Drinkwater, Hassell, Edwards (injury prone), Doyle (out of form & bad attitude), Dagnall/McEverley (complete loss of form), Steele/Perkins/O'Brien/Done/Preece/Tonge (all had injuries at key times)... Steele Hassell, Shackell, Edwards, McEverley Butterfield, Drinkwater, Perkins, O'Brien Vaz Te & Haynes Just imagine if Keef had all these players at his disposal, playing as we know that they can... £500k Vaz Te, £300k? Haynes and £1m? Shackell... Hopefully means that Keef will have some money at his disposal in the summer. Come on lads lets get a win tonight an give us some end of season cheer...
Haynes £50K according to South London Press. Think Hill paid his petrol money out of his own pocket as well.
Keefy wud say that tho..... It's not a success really cos we would be down if pompey hadn't been docked points. Keefy looks more like a clown every match. Hth
yep,up untill now pompey have saved us,not the football..........theres 3 matches left 12 points to go for,if we get topside of 50 points then theres a bit of sucess,if not ,then were very, very lucky.
I know where you are coming from but some of the players you list as having injuries at key times are just silly! Preece for example. Him being avaialble to warm the bench would have made no difference whatsoever. I dare say if he had have been fit he woudl be playing now and we probably would have conceeded more goals! And bringing Shackell up is a bit much seeing as he was never avaialable to Keef and we had all summer to replace him adequately, which Keef will argue he did with Edwards and McNulty
Disagree. There is nothing inspiring about lowering your income and driving away customers. Sure the balance sheet will show no losses but my local corner shop doesn't make a loss either. He's been driven under by tesco though.
There's a point in that, but the goals of this season were to stay up and break even. We'll probably do that. It'll be harder next year as less season ticket holders etc, so there has to be a cut off point somewhere.
I think the point is that it can't afford to show no losses, cause there is no one there to bail us out... unless "thereev" is gonna put his hands in his pockets?
This sort of attitude is precisely the reason why we will never progress. Not failing is success. Think small - be small.
Don't worry l have plans when the Euromillions comes in, buy the club, turf The Don and the Invisible Man out and make Cryne life president, then l'm gunna build a supporters bar and pack all the stands with bars, by time 3pm comes everyone will be hammered. There will be a right atmosphere in the ground, especially when the Prodigy kicks in on the new £36k video screen.
Got to disagree he's trying to talk himself up IMHO, granted we have been depleted but the points that we have just chucked away through crap marking and games we have gone without a shot on target never mind scoring is just emabrrassing
JayMc and Dagger never showed any form to lose, **** when they came, **** when they left. Just saying.
' staying up this season is a success ' I don't think anyone would disagree with that statement on paper. However, there are ways & means of going about things. Going out every week with pride, glad to wear a tarn shirt & scrapping for every ball from first whistle to last is one way of ensuring survival. Amassing some early points then swapping your best players for some magic beans and bending over to take the big one from every Tom, Dick & Harry in the league is another.
