When I went to ferry past year I went on M62, straight forward but this was on a Saturday. That motorway can be a nightmare though!

Going from Poggy I'd agree with that.

Traffic can be a bit rough going past wakey at that time though and with the roadworks on the M62 it might be nearer 1:45.

    From Dodworth roundabout to Hull

    M1N M62 67.7 miles

    M1S M18 M62 71.9 miles

So it's 4 miles shorter going north. There are roadworks from junction 38 though with 50 mph average speed cameras. Or there were on Saturday when we went to Wakefield.

I spend my life going backwards and forwards to hull, if your going hull bound it will be pretty quiet only bits that get busy are where the m1 joins with either m62 or going past the Sheffield parkway depending which direction you choose to go, but seen as you'll be doing this bit first you shouldn't have any bother you'll be there in 1 h 20 mins less if your inclined to drive a little faster
