I've seen a lot of battling combative performances over the years from the reds and that just wasn't one of them. Yes they are a far more expensive talented team butthat doesn't account for a lot of what went wrong yesterday, a lot of the time it looked like we were just looking to go through the motions and get the game over.
I know City's movement was good and a when they play like that it's hard to get near and close them down in open play but it's not when the feckers are stood still in the penalty area.

For me it the class of city just magnified our defensive shortcomings that we already knew abut ie ***** marking and somebody to command the middle. I don't know whether Flicker is just thinking too much pre match but how many times recently has he said he got the initial set up wrong?, when he first took over the attituide seemed to be pick his strongest line up and take it to the opposition (I know there have been changes but the principle holds good) now he seems to be morphing back into Keith Hill, I just hope he reverts and goes back to what he was.

His indecision as been highlighted in other games too....ie changing the teams formation 3 or 4 time during games,,,,we've gone from Hill having no plan B,,to flicker having too many....he's new to the job, and must be feeling the pressure that our league position demands...even if he says he's not...
I think its going to be a very bumpy ride over the next 6 weeks and as before go right to the last game....but we need a settled side as possible in the run in..one where everyone knows his job..so he does need to tinker less...and not be everybody's best mate in the squad
....in life you cant be all things to all men...some will get there noises pushed out... Come the end of the season, he's going to have to let players go... which ever league were in..

Don't want to come across as a know it all, I'm far from it...But sat in the car BEFORE the Bolton game I though what the **** is that team selection all about, then the Burnley one wasn't great but better, Bristol away I was upset pre-match that Tunni walked into a winning side...then once again yesterday pre-match I just thought no no no. J'O'B' must have been gutted not to start, we needed his energy from the off.

442 just left us chasing shadows, we should have been 5311 with full backs pushing on when possible and a link between midfield and forwards to get a foothold in the game, we needed to flood Man City and really get into them. Anyway....bring on Tuesday and can we have Stones back yet pleaseeeeeee
