Well played Fleetwood and well deserved win!!! They played with a desire and they played to a game plan! They looked organised, had a good work ethic, hunted in packs, and attacked as a group, good movement all oever the pitch to create space for others and give and options, all players had a decent first touch and didn't dwell on the ball and played simple short passes to retain possession... Pretty much everything we did not... We were unorganised, lacked movement/desire/communication/team play/support/basic passing skills. Its beg's the question, what do they do in training? do they want to play for DW? do they actually train together because they look like a bunch of stranger's out there? DW's predecessors Mellon/Flicker were motivators but were inexperienced and not tactically astute. I wanted Danny back at the helm, but I am completely disolutioned by what I have seen so far in his second spell. IMHO DW has made some poor judgements and tactial decisions and needs to accept responsibility for our current form and league position. There is no consistency in his team selections, he persists with certain players who are clearly underperforming but yet does not grant others the same opportunities. And his team selections, formations and signings can all be questioned... I am not for manager sackings, but if results and performances do not pick up the fans will start to turn and for the first time last night they did... Last night was a guttless, passionless, and clueless performance. I would like to see the following: 1. Hemmings and Bailey loaned out to build there form and confidence. 2. Hemmings dropped and Lita given a run in the side rather than odd cameo role. If he fails to deliver give opportunity to Nana, Oates, Maris or look to loan maket. 3. Jennings similar to Lita, not pulled up any trees yet but has potential to and hasn't had a run of games. Play him 4x 90mins in a row and then lets judge rather than 30mins here and there. 4. Sign a left back NOW! Dudgeon was lacking form and fitness, Naytanga plays like a CB at LB, and although I am a big fan of young Smith he needs back up and some healthy compeition 5. Hourihane, needs resting. Scowen and Peason both owning midddle of the park, but we are trying to accomodate Conor based on his early season form. 6. Consistency in team selections and formations from DW. To many changes.
