course not. Them lads did magnificent today and that was GRANT McCANN AS WELL. WE are in the play off zone , and lets not make any mistakes WE HAVE DONE IT ON MERIT.The pundits may say we are over achieving, but I think that is only by the fact we have "gelled" faster than anyone could have dreamed to expect. There is a LOT of quality wearing the red Shirt now, and plenty of back up.I will not get carried away and say we will get in the top six, I had nailed my colours to the mast and asked for a mid table finish . That for me would be real and good progress .But if we get any better than that then of course I will be thrilled. But lets not start the blame culture,NO WAY, but do lets give them credit for a massively good result, and lets all bask in the reflected glory of being in the playoffs and being the TOP side of the region. rant over
Grant McCann gutted at the final whistle, but doesn't deserve knocking. He crouched in the centre circle, head in hands, knowing he should've scored but overall his contribution was good.
top half, playing sexy football as against Bristol and sometimes against Cardiff, going to the game knowing we will see some commitment and expecting a win but acknowledging that we will be turned over by a better team on the day (and reading the gripes from each of the other team's fans in this division that are gutted to lose against us) does it for me
well that just shows his commitment to the cause and thats fine by me, unlucky Grant.. but thankyou thankyou for the spirit
He's not the first and he won't be the last to miss a sitter. That's just part of football. He's scored those two fabulous free kicks for us and will no doubt get on the score sheet a few more times this season. Like penalties these thing tend to even out over a season. A great result for us today at a club who were in the Premiership last season when we were in danger of going down with the Leeds. Well done Lads. I'm looking forward to the next game already.
