Best game in the shirt so far. Togwell shaded MOTM for me as McCann ran out of steam a bit second half. But both immense in central midfield.

motm and well deserved. Togwell also had a very good game, so what do we do with Howard ???

Hecky was poor as was Bobby who kept giving the ball away in bad positions.

Other than his shot , all he did was get caught on the ball.

When he plays against a team that have any mobility at all in midfield he looks poor.

Had his best game in a Reds shirt

Passed the ball well, won his tackles an overall impressive performance

Sounds like you're in the minority....

    Very few passing outlets.
gets too compressed in the centre of the park when we attack, no one seems to find space or drift out wide to give another option

Played okay but mainly in areas that are not going to hurt the opposition and does look painfully slow. The problem at the moment is that other than the high ball, Devaney is the only link between the two up front and the rest of the team and so if he has a bad one then they are isolated. I reckon you'd see the best of Rajczi if there was somone to link with coming through from the centre of midfield.

I would like to see McCann taking all the set-pieces

At the moment, we have a hodge-podge of individuals taking them (including Bobby Hassell).

Thought McCann played well again yesterday. On the ball more than most and seems to be available alot. Agree he gets caught in possession occasionaly but when you are on the ball alot you are bound to. Him and Toggers getting a good partnership going. They certainly weren't to blame for anything yesterday. Howard needs to start hugging the left touchline more. We look lopsided with no real width on the left. Devaney provides it on the right but on the left we have a midfielder who is constantly infield and a full back who is, well, just *****.

    agree with that

even when he wasn't quite up to scratch in his first few games, he hit the woodwork against Washday. We need to have consistency in this area, so that someone can practice specifically for the job. Howard can hit a ball well but hasn't convinced me as a free kick taker, why not give McCann the job for the rest of the year?

    RE: agree with that

I think the thing that really irritated me yesterday was they gave Bobby Hassell the job of taking any kicks that were just inside the opposition half. From that position, he was knocking aimless high balls into the penalty area.

Reid & Nayatanga are NEVER sent forward for those kicks - so we have very little chance of competing for anything.

I would like to see McCann ALL of those and at least TWO out of the four defenders sent forward. This never seems to happen.

Why don't we send defenders forward for ALL free kicks in the opposition half?
